Ishbel
Today is a day to be proud! I finished, after trying for three years, this beautiful shawlette called Ihsbel by Ysolda Teague. I first tried to make Ishbel in the summer of 2012. I took it to the cottage as my holiday project, but alas, it wasn’t to be. I just kept messing it up. I tried again the following year, same thing, holiday project at the cottage and nope. I think I skipped 2014 but this year… I took it to the cottage again and I made it!!! It isn’t that this is a hard project. It is not. But in my previous attempts I wasn’t in the right headspace for it. You see, it is quite hard to knit lace when you have young children around, at least for me! Now that they are beyond needing my attention every five minutes I found pockets of time when I could fully immerse in it. I love the result and can’t wait for the autumn to show it off!
