On Staurday we had a great time picking apples at the Pine Farm Orchards. We went there early to avoid the crowds as it gets pretty busy around midday, specially on weekends. They had nine qualities of apples that you could pick from but we stuck with three: Honey-crisp, Red Cortland and Ambrosia. Trying them out was as fun as picking them and my favourite is Ambrosia, so crisp and flavourful! Now we have 15 kilos of apples to go through. The first batch of apple crumble has already been devoured but more will follow together with apple cake, apple sauce and apple butter!
No sÃ¡bado nÃ³s fomos colher maÃ§Ã£s no pomar da Pine Farm. Chegamos cedo para evitar o perÃodo mais cheio que Ã© por volta do meio dia, principalmente no fim de semana. Havia nove diferentes qualidades de maÃ§Ã£s para colher, mas ficamos com apenas trÃªs: Honeycrisp, Red Cortland and Ambrosia. Provar as maÃ§Ã£s foi tÃ£o gostoso quanto colhÃª-las e a minha favorita Ã© a Ambrosia. Durinha, crocante e com um sabor maravilhoso. Agora temos que dar conta de 15 quilos de maÃ§Ã£s. A primeira leva de apple crumble jÃ¡ foi devorada mas tem mais junto com bolo de maÃ§Ã£, purÃª de maÃ§Ã£ e manteiga de maÃ§Ã£.
