Look what I found (and drank!)
Yesterday I had a couple of hours to myself and went to check out a new Cafe in the village. Lovely place with the cafe at the front and a second hand bookstore at the back, nice music and adorable staff. But what really surprised me was to find Bottle Green elderflower pressé there! Our favourite drink back in England. Off course I had to have one and oh, it brought back so many lovely memories. The best of all was actually picking the elderflower and making the syrup ourselves for later mixing with fizzy water. A treat I definitely miss here in Canada. Before I left I got another bottle to share with Warren and the girls as I’m sure they’d be as delighted.
Ontem eu tive algumas horinhas só para mim e fui checar um novo café aqui na cidade. Um lugar muito agradável, com o café na parte da frente e uma loja de livros usados na parte de trás, boa música e atendentes muito simpáticos. Mas o melhor de tudo foi encontrar o “elderflower pressé”, a nossa bebida preferida na Inglaterra. Claro que eu tive que tomar um e que delÃcia de lembranças vieram com cada gole. A melhor de todas foi a lembrança de nós colhendo as flores e fazendo o nosso próprio xarope de elderflower, para depois misturar com água gasosa. Um prazer que com certeza sentimos falta aqui no Canadá. Antes deixar o café eu comprei outra garrafa para compartilhar a minha alegria com o Warren eas meninas que claro, também adoraram.
